So sad to hear this news. Les and Linda played a huge part in my upbringing as I formed a close friendship with Matthew for many years.
I have fond memories of the old red Citroen that should have retired many years before it did and who can forget those driving gloves?
No matter if the journey was to collect Linda from work 1 mile up the road or a long distance trip, those gloves were a must.

I remember being told “his names Matthew not Matt” on a number of occasions so I did it on purpose, hopefully he knew it was a wind up....

We had many nights helping (getting in the way) while Les set up a tent in the garden for us to sleep in.
Cold, windy and cramped 3/4 of us in a two man tent. Even worse when the rains came and we went in the house only to be kicked out and the door locked... oops

The conifers on the right side of the garden, how many times I saw rage as we destroyed them with the swing that was placed precariously close to them.

I wanted leave a thank you to Les for all the memories I had, the support I got growing up and to say I wish I could have given something back.

Lots of love,

Paul.
